​The Room is an 8-week on-camera intensive taught by two working casting directors — one rooted in Los Angeles, one rooted in Atlanta. You are not getting a theory of what casting directors want. You are getting the actual perspective of people who have spent years on the other side of the table.

Every casting office is different. Every casting director sees something different. This class puts two of them in the room with you — each bringing a distinct perspective on what makes an audition stand out.
Class size is limited. All levels welcome. Everyone works every week.
ABOUT THE CLASS
What We Cover
Over eight weeks, you will work through the situations that define a working actor's audition life: tone, comedy, procedurals, professional jargon, self-tape, playing against type, weak material, and the specific demands of a guest star role. The range is intentional. Working actors don't get to choose what lands in their inbox, and this class prepares you for all of it.
How It Works
Christy and Tiandra open and close the course together — teaching the first and last weeks as a team. In between, they alternate weeks, bringing two distinct professional perspectives to your development across the full eight weeks.

Meet Your Coaches
Tiandra Gayle
Tiandra Gayle began her casting career in New York City theater before expanding into indie film. She relocated to Atlanta and has spent the past 8 years as Casting Associate at Tyler Perry Studios, where she also served as Casting Director on the pilot Losing It and writer/director Kaye Singleton's episodic series Covenant.

Her TV credits include Sistas, The Oval, Ruthless, Average Joe, First Wives Club, The Ms. Pat Show, and Nickelodeon's Young Dylan. Her most recent film credits include Tyler Perry's Six Triple Eight, Straw, and A Jazzman's Blues.
Christy Faison
Christy Faison began her casting career in Los Angeles, working across film and television for over two decades before relocating to Atlanta. Her credits span network, cable, and streaming — including The Newsroom, SEAL Team, Ash vs. Evil Dead, Stargate Origins, Knight of Cups, and Boss — and her work has earned two Emmy nominations.

She has taught actors in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, and New Zealand, and served as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas.
