Casting Director

Christy Faison is an Atlanta-based casting director with more than two decades of casting experience in Los Angeles. She is a partner in Drummer + Faison + Gayle Casting (DFG Casting) alongside casting directors Rhavynn Drummer and Tiandra Gayle. She began her career in the Talent & Casting department at FOX before moving into independent casting.

Her Casting Director credits include CBS pilots SEAL Team and A Gifted Man, MGM’s Stargate Origins: Catherine, and The Walking Dead: Red Machete. Her associate casting work includes two seasons of Aaron Sorkin’s HBO series The Newsroom, Starz’s Ash vs Evil Dead and Boss, and Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups.

Christy has also worked with emerging filmmakers through programs at USC and AFI, building casts for projects that went on to significant recognition. Those projects include Asia A, a Student Academy Award semifinalist and DGA Student Film Award winner, and the Oscar-qualified short Picture Day.

What continues to draw Christy to casting is the collaboration: finding the actors who make a script feel human and fully lived in, and the moment when the right actor walks in and everything clicks.
