Coaching.

Thoughts on coaching.

I’m a big believer in investing in coaching, especially when it comes to auditions. Feedback is invaluable; it helps you see your material from a fresh perspective and make choices that stand out.

I also think having a solid career game plan is essential—it gives you direction and makes navigating the ups and downs of this industry feel more manageable.

And consistent practice? That’s where the real growth happens. It keeps your skills sharp and ensures you’re always ready for whatever opportunity comes your way.

I offer audition coaching, career consults and 1-on-1 workouts through SkillsHub. Pricing is $2.00/minute with a $30 minimum.

Coaching

"My consultation with Christy before my last headshot shoot was instrumental in its success. We reviewed my materials at the time and she gave me honest and actionable advice on how to elevate them. She helped clarify my casting and guided me with specifics on how best I could support it. After the shoot, she went above and beyond to help me select the final shots I now currently use, including where and how to use the different choices. Her selections were so spot on, all my reps wholeheartedly agreed... and let's just say I've never auditioned like I audition now. It's like night and day."

About

My story.

I’m Christy Faison, a southern girl with midwestern roots. Growing up, my family moved a lot—North Carolina to South Carolina, then Minnesota, Las Vegas, and back to Minnesota. By the time I hit 8th grade, I had attended eight different schools. While constantly being the “new kid” was scary and sometimes lonely, it also shaped who I am today. Those experiences gave me the ability to quickly understand people, read a room, and find connection. It’s a skill that became invaluable in my work as a Casting Director, helping me see beyond first impressions to discover the layers of someone’s story.

Movies became my anchor through all that change. No matter where we lived, I always found the closest video store or theater—gravitating toward gritty, character-driven stories full of depth and humanity. That’s where my love for actors and storytelling began. That passion eventually led me to casting, where I’ve had the privilege of working alongside incredible directors and writers, learning not only what they expect from actors but also how to recognize the magic when it happens in the room.

As a coach, I draw on my years of casting experience to equip actors with the tools they need to prepare, adapt, and thrive. I encourage them to approach every audition as if they’ve already booked the role—empowering them to show up with confidence, resilience, and a genuine love for the craft. For me, coaching is about guiding actors through their journey and helping them bring their best work to life, both in the audition room and on set.
